Staphylococcus epidermidis strain 4477-2 (ATCC 700565) is a genome-sequenced, human-derived clinical isolate supplied as a freeze-dried culture for antimicrobial resistance and drug development research. This BBL-2 organism has a defined susceptibility profile and characteristic colony morphology on trypticase soy medium.
